hi,

I intend to install Slackware 2.1.0 Linux by the weekend and X by next
week. After going through all the stuff, I found a boot disk for the TP
        ftp://peipa.essex.ac.uk/pub/tp-linux/tp-bare.gz

What has been patched in this boot-disk? Are the patches spelled out in
        ftp://peipa.essex.ac.uk/pub/tp-linux/tp-linux.ps.gz
incorporated in this compiled boot disk OR is the Slackware 2.1.0 boot-disk
sufficient?

I don't use a 2.88Mb drive hence all I need to do is to configure
LILO after using Slackware 2.1.0 boot+root disks, yes?

\begin{linux aside}
 Any suggestions in partioning the disk? I've got a TP360(M) with 12Mb RAM
 and a 340Mb HD - currently partitioned as follows, 40MB dos, 150Mb win,
 150Mb os/2w3. I need a Unix box since I do a lot of (non-X) development on
 that platform (IBM RS/6000 PPC 410, AIX 3.2.5). Sad to say,os/2 has to go..
 I'm thinking of repartitioning - 40Mb dos, 100Mb win (stacked), 200Mb linux.
 Anyways, should I go for a different partition for / and /usr, and how
 much should each partition be, why?
 BTW is os/2w3 faster than linux+X in the above configuration and application?
 I do have gcc+emx, etc. for os/2w3.
\end{linux aside}

Email reply preferred. Request for prompt assistance. Thanks heaps!
