My older bios was 8/10/95, I just loaded 1.40, and the date is
9/12/95.

That doesn't appear to exactly be true. I had to load 1.30 to use
Win95 (and NeXTSTEP), and figured I'd load 1.40 cuz newer has to
be better.

After loading it and restarting, Win95 suddenly pops up and says
"New hardware detected", and wanted me to insert a driver disk.
Turns out it had discovered the MWave DSP, and of course I have no
driver disk for that (*anyone* got that MWave for Win95 disk?).
Now I cannot use the MWave modem under Win95 anymore. It just locks
the computer up when I open COM2.

The *good* news is though, now NeXTSTEP seems happier. I can now
actually suspend the computer, besides the previously supported
standby mode. Hibernate doesn't work, but I don't really care about
that. Now I can actually close the lid while NeXTSTEP is running
and not hang it! :-)
