I found out that for most of the time under Windows, when I switch into DOS
shell mode and exit it, the recalibration of the trackpoint seems to occur
quicker than actually waiting for the unit for about 20 seconds as other
people mention. By the time you get back into Windows, the drifting will be
gone.
