Hi, I'm a new member with "vintage" TP720c's that I use for testing (I can
swap out those
front loaded hard drives real fast....:) I mostly test with win95 and
win3.1....
These are great machines except they're speed (486 slc-50) is becoming a
problem. The processor
daughterboard is removable. I'm wondering what options exist for upping the
speed. I've heard of upgrades
to 75mhz, but the prices I've seen are steep for such a small gain. Anyone
know of other options
(a 486-100 or a pentium would be awesome).
How about harddrive upgrades? I've read the discussions about harddrive
"caddies". Can I take
an old 120meg harddrive, remove the case and wrap in a large one cheap?
Thanks in advance for any info. Regards, Jon
