755cd ac adapter connector problem

Hi,

I have recently started having trouble with the ac adapter plug
that goes into the back of my 755cd (4 pin with beveled corners)
It appears that electrical contact is not well made, and I have
to jiggle the connector or prop a book up against it for
power to flow (& the battery to charge) I suspect it is just the connector.

Has anyone experienced such problems ? Does anyone know of a fix?
