Familiar story:

We were promised a 760CD and were told later we couldn't get one.

However, we were told that they could ship us a 760E immediately
(though the CD-ROM upgrade would take 2 weeks to get here).

I have yet to go through the specs (or call IBM) or hit the WWW, but
off-hand, are there any differences between these two configurations?

I am told by the vendor that the only complaint that they had had was
that with the 760E, you couldn't remove the CD-ROM while the machine
was on. Are there any other problems? Thanks for your help.

Oh, yes. We want to run Windows 3.1 on it and it comes with Win95.
Anyone who has gotten it to run with Windows 3.1 - I'd like to hear
>from you. Thanks.
