Let quote from the June 25, 1996 PC Magazine (just arrived), from a
review for the Toshiba Tecra 720CDT (pg. 41):

"The fan never turned on during our tests, but the notebook's bottom
did heat up and would have been uncomfortable to hold one one's lap."

The 720CDT has a 133-mhz processor. Looks like the Thinkpad is not
alone in warm cases. I talked to an IBM consultant this weekend who
said heat had been noted on them and one was supposed to use the feet
to help dissipate the heat.
