said heat had been noted on them and one was supposed to use the feet
to help dissipate the heat."

The IBM "consultant" does not know what he is talking about, at least in
the case of the 760CD, there ARE no feet. There are also no feet on the
760E, so it would be REALLY peculiar if there were feet on the 760ED,
since then the keyboard would really be at an uncomfortable angle.
