"...anyone have the problem of not getting the pcmcia cards when installing
win95
over wfwg 3.11, on a thinkpad 755CE? the thinkpad card program just doesn't
detect them, in this case a new media bustoaster and an ibm ethernet card...."

assuming you've wiped out your autoexec.bat & config.sys, and enabled pcmcia
support, i've seen this same problem on a two thinkpads. i was able to
pinpoint it to a resource conflict & the simple solution was to go into device
manager & disable (not remove) the ide controller. after that, the cards came
right up. don't ask my why changing the resources on the ide controller didn't
work, it just didn't. "all this science, i don't understand. it's just my job
five days a week."
hope this helps.
