Xwindows on a Thinkpad 760ed

I have had the pleasure of upgrading my 755cx to a 760ED system. Linux has
installed flawlessly but X windows does not work. I have tried both
Accelerated X and XFree86 V3.2 that was released this week.

Does anyone know how to run X on the inernal display at 800x600x256/16K?
