There is another approach: I know that some Zyxel modems/ISDN
adapters connect with the parallel port to offer greater throughput.

Hi!

I'm trying to find out the highest speed of the 701Cs serial port.
I'm scoping out using an external ISDN modem through the serial port,
and am hoping that I can get at least 128kbps out of the serial port,
if not 200+kbps (probably way too optimistic).

Otherwise, anyone see a PCMCIA serial port card with great than
128kbps throughput.
