Seems to be the case; at least, the people who tried Wintune2.0 on the
auto setting all got more-or-less identically slow results, and the
others got the faster ones. Either there's lots of overhead in the
Auto setting (eg: Should I speed up now? How about now? Or now?)
or it somehow decides that Wintune is a program which requires only
moderate CPU resources.
If I ever own a working 701C again I will certainly fix it in the
faster setting.
