While we're on the topic, I've figured out one cause of a
fail-to-resume on my 701. Many of you have complained about
this - you open the lid of a suspended 701, the light goes on,
but the screen remains blank. The computer is unresponsive to
the keyboard and will not go back into suspend even with an
Fn-F4. I suggested closing the lid to force a suspend, waiting
a few seconds, and opening it again. This has always worked to
wake up my 701.
I've noticed that every time my 701 fails to resume in this
manner, I had suspended it on AC, disconnected the power, then
tried to resume it on battery. It does not fail-to-resume every
time I do this, but when it does happen it is always preceeded
by disconnecting the AC.
