I think that it's the price and expected use of the machine that might make a
difference. I used to have a 355C, and it had a 1 yr. warranty, and now I
have a 701CS which has a 3 yr. warranty. I think that is is mainly because
that the 355/360 series and 500/510cs is a "value" line, while something like
the 701, the popular 755, or the 760 have 3 yr. warranties, because they were
meant for multimedia, business presentations, etc. There's probably more to
it than this, though.
