As far as I know, you cannot get Doom/Doom2 to work with sound on the 750.

Sound blaster emulation on the 750 is done through software, and it is
very imperfect at best. You can get sound under Win95 using the audio
drivers, but I doubt you can actually get SB emulation. It might be
possible to run the emulator under a DOS window, but I've never tried this.

Lastly, there is no Linux 2.0.37 (I assume you mean 2.0.27). APM works
fine for me, for the most part. The APM support under Linux has
trouble with screen blanking on the 750.

On a side note, I've been trying to contact the IBM employee who managed
to get the Linux sound driver to work on the 750, with no luck. After
a half an hour of fiddling with the 1848 and WSS sound drivers, I
concluded that progress wasn't going to be easy without any technical
specs on the audio system from IBM. Not that this is important...

Regards,
Dave.
