"... Can anybody share experiences with me on refurbished Thinpads ? ..."
~~~~~
yes, i much prefer them to the old, bulky thikpads. : )
when we were buying thinkpads, we were buying refurbs almost exclusively. big
price break vs. buying new. exact same 3-year warranty from date of purchase
as if they were new. availability is often actually better than new because
the models a couple steps down from the latest & greatest are always in high
demand & show up more often as refurbs at the outlet than new at ibm sales.
the downside is that they haven't always actually *been* refurbished, so 1 in 3
has a problem that needs fixing. fortunately, in my experience, ezserv never
takes more than 3 or 4 days to fix them & get them back to me.
as always, your mileage may vary.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
We've all heard that a million monkeys banging
a million typewriters will eventually produce the
entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the
Internet, we all know this is not true.
