Recently my ThinkPad 701 cs stopped accessing the hard drive - it just did
not recognize the hard drive even if booted from a floppy. I sent it to
EasyServ who suggested that the third party hard disk, a 1.08 gb from
Microsense, had "blown" the system board - which they repaired. The 701
was only meant to handle up to a 720 mb disk from IBM!
Is this reasonable? Have others had similar disastrous compatibility
problems?
