Thinkpad 76x Cache

I know some desktop motherboards do not cache all the RAM in a machine. As
a result, adding more than 64MB of RAM dramatically decreases performance
of the machine because some memory is no longer cached.

Does anybody know if the TP76x machines cache all 104MB their RAM?

I am about to upgrade, but wonder if I will take a performance hit.
