Battery doesn't work on 755CD

I've tried two different batteries, and both don't work on my laptop.

Basically my system doesn't recognize that any battery exists. Both batteries work when inserted into another 755CD.

The system works fine, so long as I plug it in(so much for being portable!).

Does anybody have any ideas?
