List-* replies considered harmful

I have no objection to the concept of using RFC 822 header fields for
envelope information, as we've discussed before.

However, it would be very strange for this information to affect
response targets.

Example: You send a message to drums_at_cs.utk.edu and ietf-822_at_imc.org. I
receive it from drums with the drums List-* fields in my drums mailbox.
I also receive it from ietf-822 with the ietf-822 List-* fields in my
ietf-822 mailbox. Should my followup target depend on where I see the
message?

Btw, the current version of mutt will automatically add

   Mail-Followup-To: drums_at_cs.utk.edu, ietf-822_at_imc.org

so followups will go to exactly the right addresses.
