like Microsoft is the only software vendor to cut all ties with Windows
3.1.
All the new versions of software from VC++ Compilers to Office are for
Win95/NT only. Microsoft does not even support Win32s anymore.
One way to make 32-bit applications not run under Win95 (other than
compiling them for OS/2 or Linux 8->) is to use the security or other
API
that is only present in NT.
