As a new member to this list, I would like to introduce my self. My name is Thor Stromsnes, I am a Norwegian ThinkPad user who is for the time being (this year) on assignment in the US. My portable darling is a TP 770, 233 MHz 32MB RAM, 4.1 GB HD and equipped with 13.3 TFT display (alas, I could not afford that beautiful 14.1...) My 'pad is equipped with the DVD-ROM, and Enhanced Video Adapter option. These options have caused me some slight problems, which I will address in a separate post to the list.
I opted for the 770 as a quasi-desktop replacement, where I lug it between home & the office, and with the occasional business trip. So, performance was a larger requirement for me than portability. My experiences with the machine, have so far (3 months) been *very* good, it's almost bordering on a love-affair <g>. I am very pleased that a forum such as this is available for us ThinkPad users, and I look forward to interact with the members on the list. If I can assist anyone in any matter, I would be more than happy to do so.
