28.8 MWAVE Drivers for Voice to Text Dictation ?

An IBM VTD document suggested switching back to 28.8 MWAVE
drivers to maximize resources available for audio processing.
Does anyone know whether this would make any difference vs
simply setting 28.8 BPS under the 33.6 MWAVE drivers? If so,
where could I download the 28.8 MWAVE drivers?
