For the past 4 months I used a 770 with a 14.1" LCD. I recently
switched to a 600 with a 13.3" LCD. Both were 1024x768x16bpp. I do not
notice the difference at all. They both seem equally bright, and I
don't think 0.8" is noticeable, at least at that resolution. (I even
thought 1024x768 was usable at 12.1" on a 760E, although the new
displays are a lot brighter, perhaps with better contrast.)
Basically, I think IBM's 14.1 and 13.3 are in the very same league. The
14.1 makes for an even larger 770 brick to carry around. If I were
buying a 770, I would buy a 13.3" unless 14.1" offered 1280x1024.
