FWIW, I installed a 1.3GB drive in my 701 and had a similar display
problem in the setup screens (<fn>F1) and was yet able to otherwise
see and use the entire drive. I would, therefor, agree with the
analysis below, except for the 4GB limit mentioned and only because I
have no knowledge on the upper bound for drive size.

Actually, the BIOS in the 701 has space for only the last 3 digits
to show the drive size. If you have a 3015MB drive (3.015GB), then the
drive will be listed as 15MB. I'd say this is what happened in your
case, since you have no problem accessing the entire drive. I believe
the BIOS itself will read as high as 4GB, despite the BIOS only
displaying the last 3 digits of the size.
