Or battery. In my service manual this is for the "Power-On Password"
(you turn off the computer, install a jumper, power it on and wait for
the self-test to finish, then shut it off and remove the jumper) then
there are the "Supervisor" and "Hard Disk" passwords - here the manual
says you have to obtain permission from the password owner, in other
words you need the password because there is no way to bypass it.
This is where they nail you for a new system board or hard drive..
