This is the 4x model, right? If so, I've got one on my 701 and
yes, it will work almost just fine. The SCSI card is a QLogic.
Some people have reported problems with it under Linux, but
there's a source file patch to the driver module which seems to
fix the problem. If you run into the problem (drive is
recognized on SCSI init but not accessible), I can dig up the
patch.
