Does anyone know if there's a way to determine the manufacturing
date of a Thinkpad (755cx in my case) from its serial number?
I'm having a dispute with IBM about whether my unit is in warranty
(the original invoice is long since lost). There is a manufacturing
date sticker on the bottom of the keyboard, but it's slightly more
than 3 years ago, and anyway they don't go by that (maybe because
the keyboard is easy to replace). Thanks.
