Argh!
Ok, I realize this isn't the Win95 support list, but it has to do with
Win95 on my TP560E, so it counts, right? :)
I'm at wit's end here with my TP560E which decided to crash last nite and
I've been with it since for the past 24 hours with minimal sleep--the
problem is very simple: When Win95 is launched it launches not as a user
but as a non-user (administrator?).
The problem is of course that in order to use any of my network
connections, after booting, I have to immediately go to Shutdown->Login
as a different user and then login. Windows doesn't prompt me to login
on bootup, nor when I type a password does it prompt me to save the
password in the password list.
Now I've played with every combination in Control Panels->Network->Access
control and I think it's the right solution to create resource level
controls(right)?
What's the solution to get Win95 to boot automatically in a mode where it
prompts me for my user name or even better(!) for it to know that the
user is 'ben' and save my passwords automatically?
Thanks, and sorry for the interruption
Ben.
