Subject: Re: 701 floppy cable

the most current bios is rev. "O" (thats an OH, not a zero)
can't update without a floppy..

I just got my 701 back from IBM, the system board had to be replaced and
they flashed the BIOS to the current rev, The system reports back the
following:

BIOS: BUTUS30 (rev30)
DIAG: BFDUS1G (ver 1G)

I went to the IBM site and checked the latest drivers and this is what they
list. Where or what is rev "O" and where might I get a copy of it ?

Here is some useful 701 floppy stuff:

Floppy drive: Dell ext Laptop floppy (Black case, Dell branded) works with
my 701 available from:

Floppy drive: IBM part# 10H4056 $76.75

Floppy drive cable: IBM part# 04H6916 $29.00

EPP cable and FDD cable pack (Floppy and Parallel cable) IBM part# 10H4070
