I think that is only partially true... most of the very large
drives are made by Toshiba initially... but then IBM
makes its own after the market is secure... and what
is more interesting to me is that a great number of the
Compaq hard drives have been made by IBM. I think
they all switch around to keep inventory and competition
up and raring.
Toshiba is most probably the manufacturer of the new
6 Gb drive. And Toshiba made at least the first batch
of the over 4 Gb...
