I have upgraded my 1 gig hard drive in my 365XD twice. Once to a 2 gig
and then to a 3 gig. The 2 gig had the mounting holes in the same place
as the original 1 gig, but the 3 gig had different mounting holes. I
found that the metal bracket actually had holes for both mounting
locations, it is just that IBM put some sticking-back insulating dots
over the unused holes. That is a good example of some forward thinking,
don't you think?
