Try escape - that worked on a friend's desktop system with
suspend feature. If that doesn't work, try the Fn key.
Leave it to Microsoft to redefine words so they contradict their
original meaning. Standby normally refers to shutting off the
screen and spinning down the hard drive. Suspend shuts down
everything except system memory. Win95 on my 701 gives me the
option to "suspend" when I shutdown. Why'd they rename it?
