I use the IBM Trackpoint Mouse on three different desktop systems.
Briefly, the mouse is a good mouse, but very overpriced given my
experience with it.

On the three different desktop systems I've used the mouse on, ZERO (0)
of them acknowledged the trackpoint portion of the device or allowed it
to work properly. The normal mouse portion works fine, but the little
blue bump on the top between the buttons is a $30-$40 piece of USELESS
plastic as far as I can tell.

IBM tech support blames the problem on the different motherboards I've
chosen (including a Dell Dimension XPS) rather than placing the blame
on the IBM supplied driver.

My advice is to get an assurance from IBM before you waste the extra
money believing that the device will work on your system.
