We've got 2 365XD's and one developed a very similar problem.
The solution, which mystifies us and our thinkpad dealer, but which
worked was to:
reload the latest video driver
THEN
connect an external monitor
THEN
toggle through the display options using the Fn+F7 key combinations
We found that display was fine on the external monitor and that after
doing this scrolling through the display options (LCD, LCD+external
monitor, external monitor only) for, oh, a half an hour FIXED THE
PROBLEM.
I suspect there's an EPROM that loses its settings - hence the color
weirdness.
I hope this works for you. IBM wants something like US$1,100 for a new
screen!
