Well, I finally got around to installing NT4 and did manage to get the
3Com/Megahertz 3CCFE575BT 10/100 CardBus Ethernet adapter ($100 eval
pricing) running. After speaking with 3Com support, I installed NT without
SystemSoft Cardwizard. I also installed the latest (last week's) BIOS.
Everything works fine. I must say that one reason (besides laziness) for not
installing NT sooner was that, for me, Win95b was surprisingly stable on
this machine (PII 266, 128mb).

What am I missing not using Cardwizard?

As I reported in August, this is a great machine. Its my primary workstation
and is networked to a 486/66 and a Gateway 2K P166. This is my first laptop
and doesn't represent much of a compromise. Its has the best keyboard I've
ever used, the best screen and, heh, I can even pick it up once a week and
haul it to a client location. I have completely eliminated the eyestrain I
got from the Mag 17" as well as my monitor tan. Aside of some flaky
suspend/resume behavior from time to time, which doesn't really bother me,
and which I haven't bothered to investigate, no complaints. Of course those
new 12x10 displays sound nice...Next up is a 128mb module to replace the 32
meg. Anyone know if the IBM part is available? No...wait...I wanted a
ViewSonic 21" display. We'll see.

Also, haven't had any problems with the modem as I understand I should.
