I have a Thinkpad 755CX and under the Thinkpad setup app, you can assign
devices along with IRQ and DMA depending on whats spare...
I have selected the ECP for my Parallel LPT1 which (when working!) will
supply my printe and scanner... Can I assign a specific DMA here too?
ECP can and should have DMA assigned to it. If you're working in W95, the way W95 handles resource assignment for ECP is kind of
irregular - I
don't remember the details, but when I last had to do this kind of configuration (I have 4 parallel ports on my desktop machine) I
