The new i series looks nice, but I haven't seen one yet. I would get the Pent
II model though. It should help extend the life cycle of the machine for you.

Subject: (TP i Series) Thoughts?
Hi all, I am new to the list. I am in the process of replacing my desktop (a
Dell Dimension 75) for a ThinkPad i Series. Originally I wanted to buy the
TP 600 but I believe the i is a good configuration at a great price. I do
not plan to travel a lot with it, so the 2 extra pounds are not a problem. I
use Msft Office (Word and Excel) and the Net (stock trading) most of the
time, so I don't think I need super fast processing.
What do you think, am I going in the right direction? I'm looking forward to
enjoy this list and thanks for your help.
