Hey there,
I'v decided to add some more RAM to the laptop, and just finished
installing Win95b(previously the a version) A seemed to take up less space
and a bit faster. Anyways, I have a Home&away ethernet combo card. But wait!
I don't think that it's the source of the problems. Upon installation of
Win95a, I had no conflicts or problems on the first boot(not just in the
pcmcia are-all around) So I installed the B version, and as expected, it
works fine. I did however, get an 'Other Device' in the Control
Panel-System. It says it's 'PCMCIA Card Services'. I didn't know why it was
there(my config files are wiped clean of enablers, etc) so I 'disabled in
this hardware profile' and unchecked 'exists in all hardware profiles'. I
restarted win95, and my card doesn't work! All the lights are on, but
nothing works in Network Neighborhood. I tried to go back and re-enable it,
but it was gone! I did a hardware search which came up with nothing. So I'm
just now finishing up re-installing Win95b. Can anyout out there tell me
what's goin on here? I don't feel like re-installing again. :-) I did a
bootlog-boot and got a handfull of errors pertaining to networking(ndis
drivers, etc, etc)
Thanks, preciate it.
-Jamie
