Well, IBM support isn't all that bad. I just got off the phone with
them, and here's their policy (semi-official) on bad pixels.
They used to have a policy of 21 (WOW). This was changed to 8.
I had 2, and then 3 more that showed up in the last 24 hours. I have
a block of 6 pixels dimming out right now. So they're sending out a
shipping box, and I'll wait for my queen to arrive back in 3 days. I
assume if the box arrives...let's say Tuesday, I should see my machine
back Thursday?
Kind of upset this had to happen at all, but at least they're
addressing it. I hope for a perfect TFT on its return.
I'm pulling out the DVD drive and putting in the travel bezel to be
safe. Also my PC Card modem. Anything else?
