Thanks all for the quick responses! I'm using Win95. It's working great
now. Both IR and the serial port are active. I wish IBM shipped it
preconfigured though - would have saved some trouble mucking with IRQs.
Anyway it turned out to be something REALLY dumb... sigh... after
activating the IR I forgot to set the Zaurus itself to use IR... DOH!
Sorry to clog the list.

FWIW, I DID check the manual, but I had no idea the port could work
through the plastic itself. Cool... I thought there was some error
somewhere when I first unpacked the machine and read the manual, but I
figured I'd never use IR so it didn't matter. Of course now it
matters... :-)
