I got my 770X last Tuesday. It's a PII 300 with 8 Gb HD, 128 Mb RAM,
13.7" 1280*1024 screen, DVD and Windows 98.

Screen
I was used to a 14.1" 1024*768 screen on my Digital Hinote Ultra 2000.
The SXGA took a little time to get used to, but when I now look at my
old Hinote I do appreciate (and will soon not be able to live without) the
extra .5 million pixels... I use the small font settings of 98, so
I'm thankful to have good eyesight. I have zero bad pixels, which
makes me happy too!

Performance...
...is excellent, a big improvement compared to the 233 Mhz Hinote.
The 3D of the graphics card could be better though. I'm very glad
with the harddisk, which is speedy and above all twice the size
I was used to..

Other features
The keyboard is better than my desktop keyboard. I love the Trackpoint
(been using a Touchpad for too long). Audio quality is the best I've
heard from a laptop, both in line-out and internal speakers. By the way,
there were some remarks about places where the 770 is manufactured.
Mine is actually made by IBM UK in Greenock, Scotland.....

Future plans
I've only used the DVD as a CD-ROM so far, but I'll be testing some
movies soon. I'll be getting the enhanced video adapter 'somewhere
in December', so I'll be able to grab and output video and better
DVD performance. When I've got some time to spare I'll be installing
NT and/or Linux as well. I'm also considering a docking station to
use PCI cards and SCSI.
