Maybe this was posted before. I did an upgrade of the OS that came my TP
380ED, and apparently all works fine... fine until I try to suspend the PC.

At first time, the suspend time was very slow, about 2 minutes. Well, maybe
Win98 is more efficient and saves all the data, as we put the hibernation
feature.

When I try to resume the TP, again, about a minute to weak-up. Okay, maybe
Win98 is reactivating every device. The last device to be reactivated, was
the Laptop Panel. It looks fine, too much time, but is alive the PC...

Then, I move the trackpoint to the "Start" button. The trouble start! From
built-in speaker, a repetitive sound was annoying me. I try to go to the
Properties PC, to unload the sound device. No answer. My ThinkPad was
died.

I try to turn off the TP, but was impossible, so I turn down and, gentle, I
reset the TP...

I get on Internet, to download every stuff to help me update the drivers of
the TP: BIOS, Video, Sound and other stuff for Win98, Win3x and DOS. I
installed everything and follow every step of the "What to do to upgrade to
Win98".

Nothing works.

If you deal with this before and get solved, please help me and send a
e-mail to adelagza_at_acnet.net, because I'm afraid my ol' TP is dying...

TIA.
