I have disabled the Mwave DSP modem on my 770ED and replaced it with a
Megahertz combo Ethernet / Modem card. This has freed an IRQ on my system (3).
I have the RS-232 port on the back of the system configured at the moment. The
only way I could figure out how to do so was to disable the IR port. Now, I'd
like to re-enable the IR port, but it appears the only way to do that is to
disable the RS-232!
Is there any way to have it all??? I'd like to be able to have my RS-232 port
connected to another computer AND use the IR port for things like printing or
PDA sync, without having to switch them both around and have a re-boot or two
each time I need to go from one to the other.
Any help would be appreciated, even if it is an RTFM into the manuals I've
just received and haven't had a chance to read, yet. (BTW, the controls on the
755CE let me set IRQs, etc. for the various devices.)
Thanks!
