Well, I got my new 770ED yesterday and already there's a problem. I'm
hoping somebody out there can tell me what I'm doing wrong. After I turned
it on I registered the Win95 software and set the preferences (time zone,
etc). First thing I wanted to check out was DVD playback on the 14.1 inch
screen. Unfortunately, two discs that I tried were unplayable. The SoftDVD
program says my country and region codes don't match! And, there's a nice
"X" next to Region one (USA).
I call IBM and they suggested I format the drive and reinstall from the
recovery CD. This I did but it didn't help. What is going on? I know the
CDs are region one; they play fine in a TP 600.
Any help would be appreciated.
