It's that loud fast spin-up of the ZIP drive... and when it goes to
sleep, it's almost like a *honk*, and a soft click. When it's
operating, it's noise is no worse than any other ZIP drive. My SCSI
Zip is probably maybe a touch quieter... but my CNF ZIP for my old
Toshiba laptop was significantly quieter.

Maybe it is 4.9 lbs... I used the nearest catalog to me, and it said
something like 5.4 lbs with included weight saver bezel, but I've
never seen a catalog that got all the specs right anyway. :)

Well, it has no risk of falling out, but it feels kind of cheap, and
you can shift it around in the space a little bit. Maybe it is a
defect... although I think that with the new battery, I'm probably not
going to be using it anymore.
