TP600--Can't hear modem to dial or to use RingCentral!!

I think I've seen it mentioned before about not being able to hear the modem when it connects, but I didn't much care about that, so I didn't read the messages. However, I recently tried to use the RingCentral as a speakerphone and I couldn't hear the dialtone or anything with it either. It could make things a little difficult. I think I have the most recent RingCentral and the V.90 upgrade to the modem, but the latest patch for the modem didn't work. I'm sure it's just a setting somewhere, but I am totally at a loss.
