Jonathan..
1. 6.4gig works wonderfully in the 701..
2. do not use any jumpers on it if/when you swap it for the current
HDD..
3. No bios update is needed.. but if you want to use fat32, you'll need
to make a fat16 partition for the hibernate file, since the bios won't
recognise fat32..
4. 3.5 to 2.5 adapters are all over the place.. prices from $4 to $24
depending...
5. No, you can leave it in the caddy, but you'll need to fabricate a
special connector..
SO.. its easier to just remove the drive from the caddy and plug it into
the desktop adapter..
