Thanks for the info. But I'm curious. What is the purpose of using the
Thinkpad for mp3's in the car? I usually listen to tapes or cd's in the
car. I can make my own tapes or cd's.

This seems so much simpler, safer and cheaper.

Also, I've read that keeping the top closed with the computer running is
hard on the screen since it's exposed to heat.
