Hello,

Some general comments regarding ram over 64 megs.

Even though uncached memory is slower, it is still faster than doing a
disk swap.
The OS takes up a big chuck of space these days. Add office or other
apps and see the memory usage go up. VC++ 5.0 plus Win95 needs 64 megs
when it is just idling.

What I would do is to run the system monitor and track the memory usage
and swapfile as you go through the normal computer usage routine.
If your system is using the swapfile alot than the extra memory is worth
it.

I heard there are some problems with virtual memory so reducing swap
usage may eliminate that as a crash source. I still think over 64 megs
is a waste if you are only using the system for email. Web browsers may
be a different story as they seem to be bloatware these days. Using
the System Monitor program will give you clues.
